The Best 6-Hour Watch
I will admit that when I heard we were to sail on the Corwith Cramer from NYC to Woods Hole at the beginning of our summer break, I was expecting blue skies, warm sun, and essentially beach weather. Yes, I packed a bathing suit.

A Beautiful Morning for Science (and whales)
This morning when I opened my eyes in my cozy bunk after being woken by Colin at around 0600, I was extra eager. A Watch was assigned to the 0700 to 1300 shift, and I was assigned to be in lab.

Away We Go
Early this morning, we helped to set the sails and prepare to reel in the anchor. Though we are all still inexperienced, it’s so thrilling to know that we’re genuinely contributing to the success of the ship’s voyage.

Welcome to the SEA Colgate Benton Scholars program blog! I am happy to report that all 18 Colgate University participants (16 students and their professors Amy Leventer and Jonathan Levine) safely arrived in Brooklyn and boarded the Corwith Cramer at 1400 this afternoon.
