Whale, That Was Fun
Today started with an early morning wake up... it was terrible. However, after witnessing the majestic sight of breaching whales, our day became magical and wonderful. Our awe inspiring sea vessel, Tails of the Sea, took us from the wharf in Plymouth to the vast and mysterious marine sanctuary called Stellwagon Bank. We saw three species of whale, including the recluse Minke, the playful Humpback and the enormous Finback.
In a huge act of happenstance we saw a Humpback whale breaching charismatically. We then returned to shore, where we enjoyed the local delicacies of Plymouth, including fried ice cream, fruit smoothies and thin crust pizza. Although very rewarding, this jam packed day wore all of us out. After watching Into The Gyre, a documentary made by SEA, the day ended in naps.
