Another beautiful sunny day
As we near the end of this epic journey everything seems to finally fall into a perfect place. Our sea legs are strong with over 1900 nautical miles on them and Mama Cramer has become our home. I feel the closeness between our crew, the only people whom could truly understand the trials and tribulations of this amazing experience we have participated in together. The last leg of the trip we have become the "watch officers" (still under the watchful eyes of our professional mates) taking on main responsibilities and directing our watch teams-a wonderful reward to all the hard work we have been through and the skills we have learned. The confidence within everyone is shining through. Together Everyone Accomplishes More (T.E.A.M.), we have become a solid team supporting one another in an accepting environment, strengthening each other's sense of self. We have all accomplished so much mentally, physically, emotionally and I would have to say spiritually as well.
Going back to our normal lives the knowledge and intuitions we have gained will begin to sink in even more than we currently realize being here now in ship's time and space. As we reflect on going totally out of our comfort zones, pushing our limits and gaining worldly experience, we will see how we have individually grown and blossomed. We are forever changed by this experience and the people whom have touched our lives. Forever more we have a support system, a group of talented heartfelt people to call on in times of need, in times for fun and to share aspiring ideas with. Even in times where we have felt like strangling one another, we share a common ground, a merry band of sailors. Together we entered this experience and together we stand as a unified crew each as important as the next. In our last days as we part, our crew feeling happy to go home yet sad to leave, bitter sweet are the final moments. Though C-257 voyage has come to an end, we each have come to new beginnings, and forever, in our memories, we will cherish the moments that we have created together.
I am so blessed to have had this opportunity.
To all the friends and family of SEA students, we thank you for your support and look forward to sharing ourselves with you soon.
Happy Birthday dad!!!! I know this is a day late but hope you had a good one!!! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks! Love, Toni
