Souls on Board

Greetings from the SSV Corwith Cramer,

Today begins the sea component of class C-266, SEA Semester: Marine Biodiversity & Conservation. All of our students boarded the Corwith Cramer today at 1400 hours and joined the ship's company as student crew. We will spend tonight docked alongside in Old San Juan where the students will receive a full orientation to shipboard life. Tomorrow, we will get underway from the dock and shift to being anchored out in the harbor for completing our safety training and emergency drills. On Wednesday morning we plan to raise sail and depart San Juan, beginning our research voyage into the Sargasso Sea.

Fair Winds,
Capt. Jason Quilter
