SEA Currents: SSV Corwith Cramer
June 28, 2016
SEASCape 1, 2016 Begins!
We, the Resident Advisors are so excited to have all students on campus with us! It's been a long day full of meeting new friends and learning about the next three weeks here at SEA, and we are almost ready to get a good night's sleep before another big day tomorrow. Earlier, after the students said goodbye to families and got settled in, we enjoyed a delicious barbecue prepare by our live-in steward for the program, Sabrina. Full of burgers, corn, salad, and juicy watermelon, we all headed up to the classroom to hear about the classes.
Stephanie previewed our time at the salt marsh collecting critters and plants, Carl got everyone excited for our first field trip to New Bedford on Thursday, and Colleen hinted at some fun leadership games in the students' future. We tried to take their minds off academics for a while with some ice breaker games (we all know what the students would fill a swimming pool with--they're very creative!). After a short study hall, we will return to the houses and wind down for the night.
Everyone should get a good night sleep and we will be ready for another beautiful day on the Cape!
