First Day of Classes

Sabrina Sorace & Laura Trachtenberg

SEA Semester

Students enjoying some down time at Racing Beach.

Today marked the first day of classes in Oceanography and Maritime History and Culture.  We had enthusiastic introductions to each subject, and had a great lunch in between the classes. Shout out to Nick the cook! And also shout out to Carl's marvelous singing in class. Followed by friendship bracelet making and a trip to the beach, where we found glorious shells and rocks. Then in the evening after some stir fry, we sat around and enjoyed Captain Courageous with some popcorn.  Can’t wait to see what adventure New Bedford holds tomorrow!
