Greetings from the SSV Corwith Cramer docked at the Stock Island Marina Village near Key West, Florida. Today, class number C-285 joined the ship for the sea component of the Marine Biodiversity and Conservation Program (MBC). All of the students are doing well and getting adjusted to life onboard. We will spend the next two days alongside the dock while the students receive a thorough orientation to the vessel and shipboard operations. Once all of the necessary training is completed, we plan to cast-off the docklines and put to sea on Saturday March 30th. Thanks for following our daily blog as we begin this exciting voyage and research expedition through the Sargasso Sea.

Fair Winds,
Captain Jason Quilter
