Ship's Log
We began our day with a nice bowl of cereal and had little time before our very busy day of classes began. The first class that we had focused on ocean conflicts and the importance of the navy in today's society, as well as in the past. After this, we had the pleasure to hear a lecture by Greg Bergman about Cape Cod geology in which we learned about the erosion that is occurring and the prevention methods that are being used throughout this region. The lecture was followed by a delicious lunch outside, however due to the hot sun many of us migrated inside to avoid the heat.
In the afternoon we learned about ocean acidification and even got to preform a lab in which we explored this concept further. It was all very fun!
After our lab, we had but a few minutes of free time before we were whisked off to the Commodores baseball game. With dinner to go and lots of fun people, the night was FANTASTIC!
