SEA Semester

Today we went out on the Zephyr research vessel and viewed patches of eelgrass with a camera towed by the boat. After viewing the eelgrass, we towed a net through the grass and successfully caught a horseshoe crab, many sea urchins, two starfish, several crabs, as well as oysters. After we docked, we visited both the WHOI exhibit center and the Woods Hole Science Aquarium. Later in the day, we had a lesson on natural history illustrations and practiced what we learned by using blind contouring.
