Pat Keoughan - Classroom Outreach Coordinator, W-53
Pat Keoughan retired in 2009 after forty years of teaching and is enjoying different volunteer opportunities in Falmouth, MA, where she lives. This expedition will be her third doing outreach with classrooms. She sailed aboard the USCGC Healy in the Arctic Ocean in 2010 and the RV Knorr in the Iceland Sea in 2011 as part of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution scientist Bob Pickart’s outreach team.
Pat is an SEA alumna who participated in SEA Semester class W-53 in 1980. Further trips with SEA include the 1990 Columbus trip aboard the RV Westward with a WGBH film crew, and Op Sail 2000 in New York Harbor aboard the SSV Corwith Cramer. She has been involved with SEA since 1980 and is currently an overseer and a member of the education committee.Back...
