Hello! My name is Kimberly Gniadek and I’m the Admissions Coordinator for SEA Semester, and also the Admissions Counselor for a select group of institutions. Originally from a small town in Western Massachusetts, I graduated with a B.A. in English in 2006 from Northeastern University.  I began working in Admissions at SEA Semester in September of 2006 after spending about 4 months as a deckhand aboard our Atlantic vessel, the SSV Corwith Cramer. I had previously sailed aboard the Cramer during my student semester two years earlier in the Fall of 2004 on a Woods Hole, MA to St. Croix, USVI cruise track. It was an incredible experience which I, like any alum, could spend hours talking about.

In the office, I work with applicants and also coordinate our admissions outreach efforts. I love being out on the water and think that SEA Semester is truly one of those unique, one-of-a-kind opportunities. When else can you spend 12 weeks learning about and living on the ocean? Outside of the office I like to cook (experiment in the kitchen really), travel (it is a life goal to visit all 58 US National Parks), spend time outside, and take pictures.
