SEA benefits from the support of a growing number of alumni, parents, friends, and supporters every year. Gifts and grants provide more than 15 percent of the annual operating budget, and alumni gifts specifically support student scholarships on an annual basis.
When considering financial and estate planning, gifts to SEA through wills or other options can save tax dollars and avoid capital gains. Planned gifts are essential to the future stability of SEA.
Donors who would like to make a restricted gift may designate an item from the SEA Wish List.
Naming opportunities are available to support our ships, the SSV Corwith Cramer and the SSV Robert C. Seamans and named scholarships are available at several levels of giving.
Sea Education Association has enjoyed more than three decades of education under sail. From our first program in 1971 aboard Westward to the construction of our campus in 1985, a second ship in 1988 (the Corwith Cramer) and the launch and commissioning of the Robert C. Seamans in 2001, SEA's reputation continues to grow.
