Gain a comprehensive, interdisciplinary view of the world’s oceans with an emphasis on oceanography. Open to students from any major. Learn more about OE.

SEA Semester: Documenting Change in the Caribbean

Compare the modern mix of cultures and biota in the islands of the Caribbean with those documented in early histories. Designed especially for social sciences and humanities students. Learn more about DCC.

SEA Semester: Oceans & Climate

Study the role of the oceans in one of the pivotal scientific questions of our time – global climate change. Designed especially for advanced science students (see course prerequisites). Learn more about O&C.

SEA Semester: South Pacific Island Cultures & Ecosystems (NEW!)

In the wake of Polynesian voyagers and European explorers, SEA offers an opportunity to sail among the islands of French Polynesia to discover what this environment and these cultures can tell us about issues of environmental sustainability and cultural continuity. Designed especially for social sciences and humanities students. This program will open in Winter 2010; courses will be announced shortly.
