Ben's most recent film, Nje ya Ndani (Outside of Inside) was an exploration of Zanzibar's fishing culture seen through the eyes of an itinerant woman. His first feature, Terahamwe: Those Who Work Together, examined the development culture in Rwanda as enacted by five different international NGOs working in the country ten years after the genocide. In addition to directing commercial and documentary films, he currently works professionally in New York City as a web producer, editor and multi-media education designer for Columbia University Medical Center. He received his MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts and his BFA in Theatre from New York University.
