Transcripts
As an SEA student, you are registered through your home institution or through Boston University, depending on your school's relationship with SEA. Your grades will be on file at the appropriate school four weeks after the end date of your SEA Semester program. Grades are not released if you have a balance due on your SEA account.
If your school is not affiliated with SEA:
You are registered through Boston University and need to request your transcript directly from the BU Registrar. Instructions on how to obtain a transcript can be found at http://www.bu.edu/reg/grades/ordering-a-transcript/ (refer to item "B. Requests by mail, email, fax, or in person" under the Official Transcripts section).
Please note: BU will not automatically send your transcript to your home school; you need to request it via mail or fax (not online). There is a $6 charge for this service.
If you attended a program prior to Class 239 you will need to apply with your Social Security Number. Classes 239 and above will need to use your BU ID#. If you do not have record of your BU ID#, please contact Dale Dean in the SEA Office of Student Services at ddean@sea.edu or at 508-540-3954 x 535.
If your school is affiliated with SEA:
- If you received an email from the SEA Office of Student Services with a BU ID#, you are registered through Boston University and should refer to the process above.
- If you did not receive a BU ID#, you are registered through your home institution. Grades will be available and sent to your home institution 4 weeks after your program ends. Affiliated institutions are listed here.
If you need an unofficial SEA transcript in the future, please contact Dale Dean in the SEA Office of Student Services at ddean@sea.edu.
